LAS ALMAS, NV — In the afternoon of August 21st, a commotion occurred at Lorenzo’s tower, one where neighbors of Mayor Nahum describe as pure terror. Screams, gunshots and shouting could be heard through the walls.
Though it is uncertain what had unfolded on that fateful day, witnesses say they could hear several male voices shouting, as well as a number of women screaming too. And by the end of the chaos, witnesses say they saw Mayor Nahum and her brother, Saturnino Sciarra, visibly wounded and treated by emergency medical services.
““Oh, it was crazy!” a neighbor says. “Well, I didn’t see anything, you know? I like to mind my own business. Plus, you never know in this city. Poke your head out once into the hallway and you’ll get it blown off. But by the time it had quieted down, I went down to the lobby where all these cops were! Screaming and shouting and cursing! Oh, my. Then blood! It made me sick!”
A statement put out by the city manager, Audrey Bonheur, confirms that the Mayor was engaged in some sort of conflict and was brought to Almas Sands General unconscious, along with a number of other unidentified victims.
We wish Mayor Nahum a speedy recovery and should anyone have any information in regards to the attack on Las Almas’ mayor, please contact the Sheriff’s Department immediately.
